And.....we have broccoli sprouts. Ta-da! Who knew that growing something would make me so happy?!
Our onions, thyme, and tomatoes have also sprouted, but not as much as the broccoli. I'll be keeping my little sprout babies inside for a bit until they have "true leaves" and then we'll start the hardening process. I hope it works. Still nervous about moving them outside...
Tomorrow afternoon we are going to build our raised bed and test the soil for ph. Then, we'll decide how to prepare the soil. We should get our rain barrel on Saturday (free for Charlottesville residents!).
Next week is my spring break. I'm excited to sleep more, get caught up on some writing projects, and prepare the garden. Hoping the groundhog is right, and we're in for an early spring.
